I had just purchased a home and had electrical issues and called my Home warranty. They recommended Ryco Electric. Rich is the tech that handle the service call. Before arriving he called 20 min prior to arrival. He was prompt and courteous and followed proper procedures of Covid. Rich took pride in his work and took the time to explain what the issue was. Thanks Rich for displaying an excellent service. I highly recommend this company and ask for Rich!!!! :)

Lost power to half my house with no breakers tripping. Called my home warranty company, which coded my service request as "expedited," and I spoke with Ryco's scheduling office the following day. Unfortunately, there were no appointments for 5 days, and I was concerned about the source of the issue being a possible safety hazard. I requested a call from the electrician ASAP, and received a consultation within an hour. Rich was pleasant and helpful. On-site, he quickly diagnosed the problem and made a repair (new main breaker). He explained the old one had corroded and began arcing, and showed me the piece he replaced. The issue did come back a few days later, and I was fortunate to get a cancellation appointment the day after the reoccurrence. Mike came out, and he had reviewed my case prior to knocking. He too quickly diagnosed the issue as there still being residual corrosion on the main breaker attachment, despite Rich having cleaned it up a bit. It's working for now, but he counseled me that it may reoccur, which would require an upgrade to the panel, which is older, as a next step. Both gentlemen were professional, timely, and informative. They were happy to answer my questions and offer consultation about the greater wiring scheme in the house. 4 stars only because it's hard to get off work for these service calls, and there is a decent chance the issue will recur again, but part of that is just the hassle of the warranty company scripting out the process for claims. Had I lost power to the other half of my house instead, I'd have had food spoilage and needed to move into a hotel for a week--but again, I place most of the onus for that headache with the warranty company.

Ryco Electrics inc. was contracted for me through my Sears home warranty In August of 2020. Originally they were contracted for my garage door opener and 2 ceiling fans. The technician came and saw that the garage door opener had electricity and told he was not trained to fix the issue with my garage door opener. I had to pay a different deductible to get a technician to come fix the issue with garage door. I got on the phone while he was still there with the home warranty company to pay that deductible. He then looked at the ceiling fans and determined they were not fixable which means I would get new ones at no cost but he had to send in the necessary paperwork to the home warranty company and the warranty company will contact me. After waiting 3 weeks, I called the warranty company and was told that they never got any paperwork from Ryco. The warranty company said they sent Ryco a request for the info. I also called Ryco (got voicemail) left a message about my issue and never got a phone call back. Shortly after I had to deal with an immediate family member medical emergency which did not allow me the time to follow up. Fast forward to November 23, 2020, I reached out to the warrant company to find out why I haven’t heard anything. They resubmitted the claim for the ceiling fans and a new claim for the garage door opener. I was told that Ryco should be calling me by the end of the day to set up an appointment. They did not call and so I called Ryco and once again I got the voicemail. I left a message about my issue and as of today November27, 2020, o still have not got a return call. This is so unacceptable. It’s like they can careless about a contracted account.
