  They try charging 539$ TOTAL just to turn on your light! AND THEY HAVE RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

  SBEC is a member owned electric cooperative and like most cooperatives we do require a security deposit to insure payment on final bill. Security deposits can be waived if a good letter of credit is presented from a previous/current electric provider. SBEC also has options for our members when it comes to deposits by offering Power Pay our prepaid program. This will waive the deposit and allow members to pay in advance for their electricity. You can manage your usage and your payments on our SmartHub app. Please give us a call if you would like to learn more about this option.

  As I've said before the field crews are an excellent team who risk life and limb to restore power, fix line issues etc. The office had been less cooperative especially with cutting off people's power etc. However Ms. Robin is a lady with a true Christian heart and kindness and goes beyond the call of duty to help with the cutoffs. I want to thank you Robin for standing up and doing the "right thing " especially with the poor, elderly etc. God bless you and God bless SBEC
