Had waited in line to apply to the apprenticeship for roughly 2 hours. When I got to the front to present my documents, the lady opened up my official sealed transcript. She stated that I needed Algebra on my transcript but I took Algebra in middle school and was placed into Calculus with Engineering in College. She stated that it does not matter that I took 3 levels of advanced Calculus, she needs to explicitly see Algebra on my Transcript and gave me back my application. Said I won't even be considered since it doesn't show ALGEBRA. Seriously, do these people even know what Calculus is? I'm somewhat grateful since I now have a very stable job with the government and make as much if not more than what I'd be making in that apprenticeship program.
