Please search his reviews on this site and other sites and just read how he responds to people. This alone should be enough reason for you to never use his services. John from Silver Stand Electric came out to my home on Friday May 8th. This service call was through my home warranty company, so if you reach out to him directly, your experience may be different. I say this to be fair, because I realize that he does have "some" good reviews. While I have no proof, no financial statements, it seem that technicians who work with Home Warranty companies are more interested in the diagnosis fee than doing the work through the Home Warranty company at the rates they pay. This was confirmed by the second electrician that has been assigned to me. They instantly said "Is it Silver Strand ? We don't think he's ever completed a warranty call, we end up doing all of his jobs". So please do yourself a favor, if they attempt to assign Silvers Strand Electric to your job, decline and ask for someone else. To be honest, this has been my experience with most vendors sent though the Home Warranty. I am not upset that my item that needed to be repaired was not covered. I do however feel as a professional he should have stated that a wire was cut and will not be covered. He stated that it was incorrectly installed and that he was not sure it would be covered. This is very fair, and honestly I have never had the home warranty company pay for anything after 2 other calls. My imperative was to dry my clothes, and I don't blame him for the home warranty protocol. This review has nothing to do with the denial of the home warranty claim, it is solely about with the unprofessionalism of this electrician. He has also stated in his response on the other review that I was not his customer, the home warranty company is. So he was not required to tell me exactly what the issue was. I could have very well been his client as my money spends like anyone else. But as I stated previously, he had already made it clear from the moment he came in my home that he did not want to do the job.

"This review has nothing to do with the denial of the home warranty claim" NONSENSE! You ARE upset that your claim got denied and any avenue to vent your frustrations.... Home warranty is for "normal wear and tear" REGARDLESS. Your cut (deliberately) wire was/is NOT normal wear and tear. "He had already made it clear from the moment he came in my home that he did not want to do the job" As per home warranty protocol (as per the contract that I signed), I could not touch it (whether I wanted to or not is/was irrelevant). READ YOUR CONTRACT. "is solely about with the unprofessionalism of this electrician" What did I do that was so “unprofessional? JUST GOT OFF PHONE WITH HOME WARRANTY. THE SECOND OPINION STATED THE SAME THING THAT I DID. Passive/aggressive much?

WARNING !! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS "COMPANY" Zero stars would not allow me to post the review, so he gets 1...He was assigned by AHS warranty and acted like he didn't want to do the job and would not respond with any updates other than to say "I am not authorized to do the work, contact AHS, do not text me again" ...…….The second opinion that came out was an actual competent electrician and fixed the problem on the spot in less than 10 minutes. Response: Yes, like I said above. I did have a second opinion come out, a professional this time, and they fixed the actual problem on the spot -covered by the warranty. You only want to get paid to claim a service call and then leave without doing anything about it.

These are the caliber of homeowners that contractors need to stay away from. I explained to the home warranty company that because the outdoor AC disconnect was missing the cover (missing parts are not covered) that left the innards of the disconnect exposed to the elements and that I did not feel safe energizing that circuit until the disconnect have been taken care of. The daughter (who strikes me as somebody that you would see on the Jerry Springer show) kept asking ignorant / misinformed questions one after the other. I finally told her to lose my number and to contact home warranty. Home warranty is my customer, and the homeowner is home warranties customer.
