  BUYER BEWARE. Silverfork Electric advertises to do general electric installation and repair work, solar panel work and backup generator installation and service. I used Silverfork to install a backup generator at my home at the Lake of the Ozarks. When I first met the owner and his mother I found some confidence in their folksy style and the owners claim of being a Master Electrician. The only thing they proved to be a master at was tons of excuses and the ability to run and hide. The installation of my generator was anything but smooth with multiple problems getting the system to perform with all the features I paid for. After paying Silverfork nearly $10,000, I was shocked to find the system was never installed correctly. I had to hire a new contractor and spend an additional $1000 to make right. Silverfork refused to respond to my customer complaint and choose to ignore me and the situation. Silverfork’s supplier even got involved. Silverfork ignored them as well and ultimately was canceled as a dealer and the supplier promised to send this event to the BBB. No matter what you hire Silverfork to do, beware you may not find them stand behind their work if there is a problem. This was extremely disappointing after giving them so much money to do a job they professed to expert at.
