  This is the most unreliable and money hungry electric co-op in NM. The power goes out constantly because they refuse to upgrade or invest money into their power infrastructure. The power is always out when you need it, for example; at about 11pm the power went out where I live and it’s January at the time of me writing this review. It’s 10 degrees Fahrenheit, and we rely on the power to stay warm because our wood burning stove can’t keep up with the whole house. The emergency reporting system is a joke, it consistently disconnects with errors and there is no other resource to ensure our reports go heard because the co-op is closed until Monday. The rates are ridiculous for this to happen every time it rains or snows or the wind blows. Good luck getting compensation on busted pipes, any food that’s gone bad, or any fried electronics because of the power surges or outages. Less than one star is deserved.

  This co-op is horrible. The rate we pay for power the power to not work is outrageous. The temperature where I live at the time of writing this is 4 degrees Fahrenheit and the power has been out for about 10 hrs now. Our pipes are frozen because we can’t run our furnace and I hope our pipes haven’t burst. Our fire place can barely keep up with the cold in one room. We pay some of the highest rate in the whole state and if the wind blows the power goes out. There are surges all the time, and don’t expect any compensation when all you food goes bad because of the power outages or any fried electronics because of the surges. Worst co-op ever wish I could give Zero stars.
