  We love going to the fair!! The exhibits, the vendors, the animals are all excellent. We love seeing kids take part in showing their animals. It's fun to see neighbor's kids' names on art projects. It's really heartwarming to see the pride and creativity of the youth in our community. ❤ But with every good experience comes a few negatives, specifically with the food vendors. Something must be done about the out of towner food stands. After waiting 40 minutes in line, I was told that they didn't have elephant ears "right now". I asked if they were out and was told "No, we're not out, we're just not doing them right now". My friend had the exact same thing happen across the way when trying to order chicken strips.🤨 So I settled for a large lemonade, which seemed to further annoy the lady in the window, as she had to wait for more to be made.🙄 I just don't understand how you can't be prepared to make food available to fair goers when you're in the middle of a 3 day event. 🙄 If Hillbilly Jim and his crew are unable or unwilling to make an item on their menu, the least they could do is block it off to avoid any confusion or unnecessary waiting around. Going forward, I hope the fair committee will reconsider allowing this group to have a place at the fair. Regardless of that decision, I will stick to the local, permanent food buildings.

  I show horses there, it's an amazing experience. We are so lucky to be able to show so many different things. The people are so friendly and the animals love all the kiddos that come to say hi. I can't wait for this years fair!! :)

  Great animal barns, Farm bureau has the best cheese curds, Divas through the decades put on good show, sheriff's presence with k-9 was fun. Ran into old friends too...good day.
