  I would like to start off that this company was highly recommended by several friends of mine. I am extremely disappointed with the service I’ve received. I called and spoke to a man name James he sounded drunk or high or on drugs. He was slurring his words not many any sense at all! The company is going to have someone like that answer the phone. He wasn’t making any sense. That was enough for me to look somewhere else, if the company can’t be professional by having employees who aren’t under the influence then how can I trust them to make sure everything is done properly. James is very unprofessional and so are the owners for letting someone like that represent the company.

  When we originally got our solar system installed in 2019 I had given the company a bad review because of issues with the system and the workers using my central air unit as a step ladder and destroyed it and issues with Rachel and her terrible customer service skills. Tyler asked me to take down the bad review if they came and repaired my ac unit. Rachel’s dad is apparently an ac tech and came and did not do literally anything just pretend to “repair” the issue. The grate actually needed to be replaced and it was finally replaced by the company after several calls and complaints to them. We have had to have the inverter replaced a couple of times because the system has failed and they didn’t know why. We have been calling since September of this year because our system wasn’t working and either noone showed up, we were told that they were busy or that someone was coming by, we were on the schedule. A guy came by said it was fixed and it wasn’t then he came back and apparently fixed it again and he is here again replacing the inverter today right as I type. I pay on the loan PLUS Black Hills because my system doesn’t ever work when I was told that having solar would save me money. It hasn’t. This company is the worst. The guy that comes and does the repairs is a nice guy but he comes alone and there is always a problem afterwards. I regret using this company and I will not take my review down again because the co owner asks me to. I have had too many issues already.

  Steel City Solar moved our panels from the roof to a ground mount array. After the hail storm in Pueblo West last year we decided to move our system off the roof to a ground mount, the panels had to be removed for the re-roof. The change to a ground mount will drive more power production and even more efficiency of the system that drives our entire home year around. The quality of the work was great, the Steel City Team was polite, and ensured our satisfaction. I would recommend this team without hesitation, great local company.
