I was fortunate enough to come across this opportunity. Strada offers a 17 week hands on Apprenticeship. I took a leap and am so excited that I did so. Although there is so much to learn, you have all the tools you need literally at your finger tips. The manual is broken down in a way that if you are a self motivated and driven person you will succeed.( comprehension is a must, we are working on peoples future homes). You have to dedicate yourself to study, to watch what others do and or don't do and take it in as a whole training tool. The guided instruction on the job site is clear and precise. If you are trainable and willing to learn and be taught (must be willing to take constructive criticism as we are trainees and that is part of learning process) a lucrative trade/profession this is definitely a company and program worth looking into. I get more and more excited to see what each day will bring, how well my team is doing and what new insight the Trainer will give. Cant wait to time myself and push to perfection soon I know with practice and studies I and those in my class will become the next wave of amazingly Professional, proficient and knowledgeable trainees to graduate and move into the field. Thank you for this opportunity, again if you take the initiative and focus on what you are being taught you will succeed....

If I could give this a 0 I would. This is for those seeking information on the 17 week apprenticeship program. This is how I feel as a Honorably Discharged Service Member. The way that the process initially started I was told that it was a 17 week apprenticeship program where there were testings done to see how well knowledge was retained. What I was not informed of was that we would be “fired” if you were not a favorite of the trainer. The reason for any form of communication is that I had thought I was doing well, completing my tasks and even going as far to ask the instructor if I could assist others since I had completed those same tasks the week prior. The only thing I was taught by my trainer JACOB, was that asking questions means that you are interrupting one of his many smoke breaks. I was under the impression that trainers by definition train prospects. What I was met with was an instructor who is late everyday, takes constant smoke breaks, sits in his truck, and taking longer than 30 minute breaks for lunch. When not on a break you can find your instructor helping out his favorite prospects while the others try to search for some form of help. When being released from the program I had no idea that I would even be considered for termination of the program. The day I felt was productive and the only reason to my task not being complete today was due to the fact I was out of necessary material needed in or to complete the project. The whole day I was not once approached by the trainer to even mention what I’m doing wrong, or how I could improve. Instead I was left in the dark, and when it started raining I was told to load the truck with the rest of the prospects while he watched on in a dry truck. As a Veteran of the Armed Forces I feel extremely discriminated against and will not now, nor will I ever recommend this program to any future Veterans I come into contact with interested in this trade. What I feel this program is, is a way for the company to take advantage of prospects looking to learn a trade, by telling them that it is on the job training yet when the first house is complete they start fresh with new prospects getting rid of the old. I feel the program is just a way to get the same work for way less the cost of payroll. If you see an opening for apprenticeship go ahead and do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY. Extremely unprofessional ways for conducting business.

TRAINING PROGRAM REVIEW: I’f you’re looking at reviews to see what this company’s like to work for this is it! If you’re going to hire people for a 17 week paid training, actually train people. Don’t just give people a book and say you need to be a ‘self starter’. When what you want is here’s some of the tools and safety equipment you need, here’s a book, go wire a house for low pay. The supervisor ignores you or speaks so fast and walks away. I can learn anything if you teach me but this is not training. BAIT AND SWITCH!
