  Good showroom but we stood in there for over 15 minutes and none of the workers acknowledged us. Bad service

  Tepper is fortunate to have a grip on the local market, and they take advantage of it. Have done business with them a few times over past two years. It was fine. Made purchase on March 27, 2020, with covid precautions in place, which meant I called in order and I picked up item from outside their door. The person who assisted was very friendly. Two weeks later I needed to return to items from that order, totaling about $45. I was in area and stopped by. Called as instructed and was told, in a very cold, aggressive manner, "We are not taking returns until the virus is over." I said, "I'm in your parking lot." He said, "Well, you should have called before you came all the way down here." In fact I called twice before going there, but no one picked up. In any case, I told the person that I purchased item two weeks prior and was not informed about the new return policy. I looked at invoice/receipt and nowhere on it is the new return policy explained. I called back and got another person and asked this person if the official policy is that no returns are accepted "until the virus is over". Yes, he confirmed. I eventually spoke to a manger and explained that I would be moving out of the area in next couple of months and won't be here "when the virus is over." After five minutes of talking he conceded that I could drop items off and then get a refund in 3 days, as an exception. Forget it. I'm done with this place. Rude, unfriendly, takes business for granted. Worse, they're sticking their cash flow problem on customers by not permitting returns. They will say it's for employee safety, but no contact needs to be me made to complete return.

  Amazing service! I walked in with an old track light I needed to get more of, and I couldn't find at the big box stores. The clerk knew right away exactly what type it was, found some in the back, and kindly ordered more for us to pick up in a few days. These people know their stuff and that kind of knowledge is hard to find nowadays!
