John and his crew have done various jobs for me over the past 15 years: wiring an unfinished basement, replacing a panel, hooking up a hot tub, you name it. His team is always friendly, they work efficiently, and they do good work. He's also never been underbid. He was recommended to me, and I have recommended him to others. I would definitely give him a call.

Please stay away!!! I have never written a google review but was treated so poorly by John and Tru Craft that I felt the need to share this so no one else has to experience what I just did. I paid for two separate installations of a ceiling fan. I paid $200 for the first instal and the fan made a bunch of noise and I was told that there must be something wrong with the motor of the fan. So I bought another fan and made the huge mistake of asking Tru Craft to install the second fan (another $50) because they were familiar with the situation. Huge mistake! And guess what? The 2nd fan made a bunch of noise too and I was told it must be a faulty fan again. This was a $700 ceiling fan with incredible reviews on every site it was on. So I finally called the fan maker Minka Aire and they walked me through a few trouble shooting steps and determined that it was a faulty install, and I was able to fix it and the fan runs perfectly now. I called the owner of Tru Craft, John, about this and he said that this could not be true and argued with me. I asked for my $250 refund and he said that he could refund $50 of it. I told him to keep the $50. So he wanted to charge me $200 for two faulty installs. So to summarize, I paid $250 for two installs, bought two perfectly fine ceiling fans, and ultimately install the fan myself to get it to work. Please save your money, but more importantly, save yourself the stress of having to deal with the incompetence of John and his Tru Craft Business.

Terrible, useless, unreliable. I scheduled an appointment online and eventually received a call from original owner. "Maybe" they could fit me in the following week on Wednesday. They would call first. I subsequently contacted Trucraft heir by phone on Monday of the week they were "maybe" going to come to try to reschedule for Thursday--three days away. Spoke in person with son who does the work. O.K., he saw me on the schedule, and would come Thursday instead. Wednesday late morning I receive a call: "I'm stuck on another job and can't get there today!" O.K., the appointment had been changed to tomorrow, Thursday, remember? "Oh yeah, I remember now. I'll see you tomorrow morning around 9:30." Thursday--no show, no call, only voice mail: "I'm not available, blah, blah, blah..." I left three messages on Thursday (July 20,2017) No follow up, no response, nothing, ever... If I could give minus stars, I would. This schmuck is unreliable, disorganized, and essentially not telling the truth by rendering my future unpredictable. Another aggravation is that this work was not complicated, and was to be done at a residence in Louisville, I drove from Longmont to meet him.
