United Electric was performing electrical work at a new house construction across the street from my home. They repeatedly parked in front of my house in a clearly signed 'No Parking Zone'. When I politely asked the employees to move the vehicles, I got incredible attitude (and excuses) - I was told that they needed to park there because it was the closest spot to the worksite (didn't matter to them that it was not a legal parking spot). When I pointed out that they could park further away in a legal spot, or actually park their vehicles on the job site, they then ignored me. I followed up by telephoning the home office to complain. I was greeted by a pleasant woman who said that she would call out to the site and have the offending vehicle moved. Unfortunately, the vehicle was never moved. And so a week later, there is another truck parked illegally. I asked the driver if he would move it to a legal spot or park it on the construction site. In addition to a list of excuses, he informed me that he did not care if he received a parking ticket since the company would pay. I then called the home office and spoke to a male employee who basically stated that they park in no parking zones all time - and it is essentially standard practice. These folks may do good work - but they have no regard to parking rules, no respect for the neighbors who live here, and no interest in traffic safety. Essentially, the drivers with whom I interacted appear incredibly lazy & disrespectful - when it comes to parking. And I (frankly) would not want to hire a 'lazy' electrician to do work on my property.

United Electric got right back to me, which made them stand out right off the bat. They listened to what I asked for and decided it would just be a service call (no waiting for an estimate). They had a schedule opening and came out that afternoon. The people they sent out were courteous, professional, and quickly did a quality job of adding a new exterior outlet and fixing an existing exterior outlet. United Electric outperformed my expectations, at a cost lower than expected. Nice job!

United Electric was able to get to me quickly to wire and install an outdoor heater, lights, and a plug so meetings can commence during CoVid. Chad was super professional, understood all of my requests and even trained a very polite and helpful apprentice, Wyatt at the same time. They saved the day and I love my new workspace!
