  The Social Security office is located here, unfortunately, it's only open from 9 am - 12 pm. Makes it very hard to be able to get things done. They were closed on Friday for Texas Independence Day, but it's not a national holiday. They need more people because it does get full.

  Commissioner Gustavo Flores is always trying it's best to help the community. The center is always a great help for the neighborhood and the older people with the 65 + program. The ladies are always with a big smile. One thing I will change is that sometimes there are a lot of items left over; should give it to the people instead of going to waste.

  Del Rio lost its Social Security Administration office due to budget costs a few years ago. Locals would have to drive to Eagle Pass, Texas to another office. I am glad we have this alternative. Go early though as there are usual large crowds and they are only opened from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
