  Had the house wired for a 50A plug to receive power from an external generator. The owner, Tim, and the worker sent to our house, Alex, were both professional and knowledgeable. Both guys patiently answered all my questions, which I appreciated. The work was done clean, and timely, given the circumstances (backordered parts). Alex showed up in the middle of a snowpocalypse and trudged through almost 2ft of snow in our driveway and sidewalk entryway to let us know he was there to start the job. I was ok with delaying the project, but it didn't seem to be a bother to these guys...easy process to hook up the generator after the work was completed and everything appeared to be fully operational. Seems like Van's is a local place that doesn't have the big company complex (nickle and dime you). Tim seems to be a reasonable guy and wants to do the job right. Our job was simple and straightforward, and that's the service I believe I received.

  I am going to call them right now. I have never had a problem getting a hold of them. They are very responsive, professional, and do a wonderful job. I have a big job for them and I wouldn't think of calling anyone else. I often wonder if it isn't competition writing bad reviews, especially when they mention another business. I highly recommend Van's Electric. I just got off the phone with Tim the owner, I called on a Friday after closing time and he still answered the phone, If that gentleman who wrote that bad review thinks he was correct, he must have had the wrong number! *Just wanted to add an update about Van's. We finally updated our bathrooms and kitchen on a ranch home that was built in the early '60's. I purchased a light with a fan built in for one bathroom, plus hanging lamps which came with supposed instructions in Chinese. The young man that Tim, the owner sent out had to figure out how to put these 2 wood pieces together. To make it even worse on him, I lost one of the giant screws that hold the light together. He picked up another piece from the hardware store and figured out how to get it together. There were no instructions. What was included in Chinese was only a list of the items contained! He got both together and hung them exactly where I wanted them in the ceiling at the correct height. The light/fan, he had to go up into our attic for part of the installation. I was feeling like a major pain by this time. He still had to assemble my 2 new kitchen lights. He never complained or copped an attitude. I have had people do that. My home is almost finished. My lights are all beautiful. Best thing is I know they were installed correctly so I know they are safe. That makes me very happy!
