Mr. Kim at Virginia Auto Repair is absolute, expert, auto master. I was struggling for months with my suspension problem and many shops were not able to find out the real issue. However, when I visited V.A.R, Mr. Kim took his time and diagnosed my vehicle even in the bad weather. My vehicle is now completely fixed and it truly feels like a brand new car. I highly recommend this automotive shop for any repair for your vehicle.

Jay is an honest mechanic. He won’t suggest work you don’t need. Prices are fair and he gets the work done on time. Recommend!

Stay away from this place. I came with my spare part and agreed with him about work price. However spare part that i brought was not good according to the owner of the business. To avoid ordering online, waiting time, and attempt fee for work, instead he offered to request spare part through his source. He did not say the price until work was done. Spare part that cost me $20-50, ended up with cost of $400. This guy is just an opportunist that exploiting the situation and to rip you off. He is not there to help you just to take advantage of you. DO NOT GO OVER THERE.
Response from the owner
Last week, you visited our shop asking for repair service using your own part. Normally we would not install parts brought in by customers due to poor experiences in the past. But we complied with your request and made the installation charging labor only. Unfortunately, the spare part was incorrect for your car. Your "SRS clock spring unit" connector did not fit your car model. During our conversation, we stated that we would postpone the repair until you brought in the correct part. However, you had concerns about an emission inspection that was expiring in two days and could not pass without fixing the car first. For that reason, we suggested ordering a Toyota genuine part from a nearby Toyota dealership. After speaking to a Toyota parts representative, we informed you the price of the part was $398.95. Upon your approval, we ordered the part from the Toyota dealership and repaired your car and it passed emission inspection. Even though we treated you with respect and offered honest and reliable services, it is unfortunate to hear your negative review.
