I called Walker for an estimate on maintenance for my central air unit. I was told $85 an hour plus whatever supplies that were used, he used 1/4 gallon of cleaner which came to $10 according to the bill. I called at the end of the service call ( which took 1 hour) and told her I wanted to pay over the phone. She told me it would be $148.75 and when I questioned why she said she would call me back the next day after she looked at the service sheet. A month later I get a call with the same total and them saying the original bill had been discounted from $211 because I didn't get filters ( he never came in the house) and they took off for his apprentice which they were charging me $35 an hour for. They charged me for a 1hour and 45 min service call because they said their time started when they left Walker. I live 3.6 MILES FROM THEIR OFFICE, which equals $10 a mile to drive to my house. At no time when I called for a quote was I told that I would be charged for an apprentice or that it would take them 45 min to drive 3 miles

Called to have them look at my HVAC system and to get an estimate on installing a ceiling fan. Had to get someone else to do the HVAC because they did not contact me back. When they did contact me I asked about the fan install estimate. A week later a guy called and got info and said he would call me back the next day. Two weeks later I still have not heard back. I called someone else and had it installed in two days.

They know nothing about a breaker box. It took 6-7 hours to fix one problem when the guy told me maybe 30 mins he'd have it up and running. Charged me for wiring they didn't use 8ft. And took it with them. And that wire was dropped off because the electrician didn't have any wire in his truck. They charged 1/2 hr for labor for that. They even asked Covington Electric for advice. Which Covington Electric was great! The repairman with Walker even went and bought a breaker box and me telling him that I had a brand new one just 3 feet from the one being used. The one he bought wasn't one that would work so they began to figure out how to alter it. I stopped them right there and said to fix the broken lug. It was truly the worst experience I've ever had with any repair service in my life. The parts needed were provided free by Covington Electric. (Base and meter) the wire and screws they used was extremely expensive. When he decided to go back to his first idea, it took 20 minutes. Total bill was $800. They were inexperienced. They should have been honest and told me that they didn't repair breaker boxes. I'd rate them a zero if I could. It took me months to make this post because I needed time to decide how I'd approach it. This is being kind here. It would not have been in December.
