  I am still in shock that I am writing this review because I can’t believe how the owner of a company could be so unprofessional. I acquired Wayne’s monitoring services with the purchase of a commercial property and I have experienced nothing but problems with them. They do not know the building of which they have provided services to for years, where when alerts are received specifying zones that are experiencing issues, they do not even know where the zone is within the building. They send out technicians and charge service fees without receiving confirmation beforehand and when they are approached with concerns with regard to their communication they yell and their customers and then hang up repeatedly on them. Their customer service is unacceptable, especially considering they are servicing potentially life saving equipment within a residential commercial building. I will be working with an alternate monitoring company going forward.

  I will have to apologies that we did not meet your expectations for this service call. As I had mentioned to you during our phone conversation you requested your account be noted that “no service be provided without advanced verbal or written approval”. Unfortunately, you were not available to provide such approval when we attempted to contact you. When we were not able to get a technician by you decided to call our office and berate everyone you spoke with. After the receptionist explained I had left for an appointment you arrived at our office and continued your rant. We are not interested in doing business with you and will again recommend you find another company to service your needs.

  I have used this company before without an issue. It appears from what I’ve been told since last time I used them ownership/management has changed. Please make sure you get a written breakdown of prices for your job before they go out. I was told 90$ an hour for labor. I got a bill for service for 1.75 hrs when it took 1 hr to complete the job. I was charged for the 1.75 hrs in labor that didn’t occur times two because they then added an hourly apprentice fee because apparently they charge extra if they send you more than one person to complete the job. Again that wasn’t discussed when booking the appointment. They claim the extra time added was for travel but they list it as labor and not travel and travel time was not discussed in the price when booking the appointment. In addition there’s no way it took 45 minutes from their location to my location. On another note the workers were very pleasant and helpful. Please just get a written statement before them coming out with a breakdown or you will be sorry.

  Response from the owner

  We installed 4 contacts for you in 2019 for $415. You were given a verbal quote of between $550-600 for the 6 contacts installed recently. However, the final invoice was discounted $75 which brought the total of this invoice to $539.75. This final cost is less that the price you were given and yet you find this unacceptable. There was an issue with one of the contacts and we returned the very next day to remedy it. We will gladly offer to remove the devices is you are not willing to pay this invoice. As of today our emails have been ignored. This is the first time in my 20+ years that a customer is not willing to pay an invoice that was less than the price given.

  We always receive exemplary service. All of the staff, from the office to the technicians, are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The service team is extremely responsive and always willing to talk us through any issues we are having or projects that we are considering. They have been an integral part of the safety and security of our buildings for many years.
