Fred was super helpful on the phone - answered all my questions and worked me into the schedule quickly. Technician came out to install additional Ethernet ports in our home - he worked quickly, was polite and professional, offered suggested fixes - but we didn’t feel pressured to buy “extras” that we didn’t think we needed. He was very thorough and did a fabulous job! We couldn’t be happier with his work. We are new to the area - but highly recommend Wheeler Electric!!!

I work for Jacob Grant Property Management and I use Wheeler Electric as a vendor, often. They communicate well with us, the tenants and get the job done in a timely manner. They're so easy to work with!

I had Wheeler come out to add 220v 30A and 50A outlets to my garage, for equipment. The tech arrived at 1:24PM and left at 4:04PM 2 Hours and 40 Min from start to finish. The techs plan was to install flush mount outlets in the wall, but due to plywood behind the sheetrock was forced to do surface mounts instead. Tech had already disposed of the original drywall cutouts, so I could not repair the drywall with the original cutouts. I contacted wheeler who offered me a credit. They resent out Fred who seems like a really good tech, he replaced the incorrect flush mount covers with proper surface mount covers. ***This is where is went bad.*** About 7 -10 days later I got the bill. The tech charged me for 4.5 hours of work at $80- per hour plus materials. When I called the main office to discuss the clearly exaggerated billing hours, I wanted to get the billing hours corrected, so I offered to send them video of the work that was done as it was being done, as it was done in view of my surveillance cameras and clearly showed the tech was only there for 2 hours and 40 minutes. They declined to view the footage and said they would only correct it to 3.5 hours. After all was said and done my electrical inspection failed. What I had asked for is not allowed by code. Wheeler did not advise me of this when I requested the work. I then had to pull most of their work out, I was able to reuse the main feed line and one of the outlet boxes, and both electrical outlets, I had to buy a new sub panel, two more breakers and wire, conduits, box and clamps to bring the job to code. I did not trust them to treat, or bill me properly. So the follow up work to bring their original work to code was not done by Wheeler. They may have some good techs, but I definitely got burned, and will not request any additional work from them in the future. I would have given them only one star since the job was not to code, but I gave them an extra star for offering to make good on the drywall damage and partially fixing the billing errors.

Jeff, appreciate your taking the time to write a review and sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction. We’re always glad to have an opportunity to review our billing procedures, and our team is constantly on the lookout for ways to improve their customer service and installation methods. Great to hear that our billing department listened to and reviewed your claims, made good on some of the damage, and provided a fair discount. As you know, we don’t charge a ‘show-up fee’ like many of our competitors, and so we typically do not charge by the minute. Like many of our service calls, your work was a unique request, and we do regret that we did not have the opportunity to remove the 30 amp plug and add another circuit to meet your needs. We will continue to improve and take the lessons we have learned after working with you into the future.
