Bippen started work on rewiring our home in February 2021. It was September before they were done. I was told they would finish on August 11, but surprise, they weren’t even halfway done by that date. I know what you’re thinking, February to September is a long time for rewiring, right? Don’t worry, it gets worse. They kept pushing my project back, saying they were behind on other projects. I guess my 14k project (that was 6 months in) wasn’t a priority. I’d love to know what other jobs they were working on. Bippen wouldn’t come back until August 31, despite my project manager calling multiple times to try and get a crew out there sooner. We couldn’t move forward with our remodel until Bippen got our power back on, and Karen in the front office kept giving my project manager the run around on scheduling a crew to work on my home. We were told they would send a full crew and finish on September first. Surprise again, they only sent two guys and definitely did not finish September first. I was 8 months pregnant and stressing out about the possibility of coordinating a move with a newborn and a toddler, all because we couldn’t get someone to finish up plugs and switches at our home. Once we were finally able to move in (less than a week before my baby was due), my dad had to rewire a ceiling fan because it was done improperly. At no point during this entire remodel process was Bippen easy to work with. I can’t stress enough how horrible they have been. I would recommend literally anyone else.

      Response from the owner

Hannah, I need to explain the other side of the story. Our customer on this project was your builder. We performed the work per the scope you all had requested while incorporating local electrical codes. In the very beginning we explained to the project manager we were behind and that this project would take longer than normal. They wanted us to proceed anyways. With any project with numerous sub contractors, we can only do certain things until other subs further their work. We must wait on them until we can return. This was the case several times. Most of the time this is not a issue if the project manager handles the flow properly. Unfortunately in your case, they did not. The original project manager was new to construction and new to the builders company. We explained how things must go and the amount of notice we required. The lack of experience on their behalf caused many unnecessary delays. As the job progressed, a new project manager with more experience took over. I can only assume why. This PM was left to pickup the pieces as best as they knew how and this caused additional delays in doing so. The ball was dropped again on the PM’s behalf in providing us adequate notice. We explained each time that we needed more notice given. If we were to blame, we would take it and apologize and make it right. In no way did we intend on this size project to drag out for so long. The fault lies with the builder you chose. Perhaps they passed the blame onto us…. I was very clear up front about our work load and being 3-4 weeks out to even start. Had the builders project manager done their diligence in being more transparent and honest about us, we would not be having this communication on the World Wide Web. If you would like to discuss in more depth, I am happy to call you. Christopher Bippen, President Bippen Electric, Inc

I am building a custom home near Bippen Electric, and I needed them to install the underground utilities from the street to the home. It was a big job in my opinion. They quoted me quickly, the price was fair, and the job was done and passed inspection by local authorities in a timely manner. I highly recommend them for any of your electrical needs.
