These guys are really awesome. They diagnosed a problem that I had in my house and I could tell that Keith knew what he was talking about. But it's the way he pinpointed the problem and didn't overcharge me from something so simple that was happening for years that really impressed me. These guys aren't out to take your money they're out to do the job correctly and save you money in the process. Super awesome experience.

I had a great experience with Brian coming out to fix our control panel and also giving me a heads up on resetting our fan remote so the porch fan would work again. Thank you

UPDATE: Blackstock reached out to me to offer a partial reimbursement of the $95 service fee. I sincerely appreciate the gesture! Thank you. I don't usually post reviews, but I was very disappointed in the lack of customer service; specifically, being charged for 20 minutes of their time (from door knock to pulling out of the driveway) and actually no work being done. I have a light not working on a ceiling fan. I'd previously replaced the bulb as well as tried to replace the ballast to no avail. The height of the ceiling made it problematic for me to do much else without help. The technician (sorry, can't remember his name) originally just looked up at the fan, confirmed that I'd already tried the bulb and ballast, and said, well, sorry to say - you need to replace the fan. (Without even climbing the ladder to look at it, that was the diagnosis.) I pressed on.. I said, but the fan is working fine. It's just the light. Is there no way to check something else to see if the light is able to be repaired (or light kit replaced) without replacing the whole thing? (It's a nice fan, btw.). He said, well, ok hold on, let me check something. He tested the ballast with a multimeter (I think) and found that the power was coming into the ballast, but not going out. So, it's likely just the ballast. But, sorry, we don't even carry those. Maybe google it and see if you can find a replacement? So this exchange took about 10 mins. He asked if there was anything else he could help me with since he was here. I did not. Then he charged me $95 (which was a discount from the usual hourly base rate since he didn't actually do anything). He did apologize for the charge, but said he had to bill something for just coming out. (NOTE: I live about 2 miles away and was the very first stop of the day.). I understand a "service call" fee, but that's awfully steep. I would've been ok with $25 or maybe even $50, but $95 was way too steep. Particularly as I felt like I had to press for him to even climb the ladder and put hands on the fan before deeming it unsalvageable.
