  We live out in Newberry down a dirt road and a tree fell down out there and it cut the power to the whole set of houses along the dirt road. This happened on a Saturday after a big storm and they stayed working on that and got that fixed at 11 o’clock at night so the folks down there could have heat and light. Super job guys and gals. Thanks for your hard work!

  I am surprised to see the overall ratings for CLAY. They are great by us and we have given any number of moves in military careers lived a lot of different states. . FL and CLAY have been THE best - not even close to misery of some services we've had elsewhere. Also as mentioned, you often are stuck with GRU ( as we are for ALL other utilities ) and they do some really dumb things that increase electric service costs ( like the millions of dollars for a biomass plant - burn wood to generate electricity - how novel; how "inexpensive" ). So 5 stars EASILY for CLAY

  The power goes out soooo often that we have to keep our internet and everything on battery back ups. The company's excuse for all the surges and outages is that our line is really long. So then why not fix that and reinforce the system?!! I don't feel it's fair to pay for such unreliable service. As others have indicated, it is bad for appliances.
