We just purchased land in north Cullman County and needed to set up service for two electric meters and two water meters due to the layout of the property. I spoke with Laura, who is one of the nicest and most efficient customer service representative I have ever dealt with. She set up both of my services for electric and water, turned on my electric services electronically, gave me my correct physical address for each, which are different, set up my fire dues for each service, answered all my questions and then some, while being very friendly and chatting in the process, it is nice to have people actually get to know customers. I could not be more pleased with my first experience, and yes, I have lived in the country my whole life and can do without power until the larger populated and business areas have it restored, that is the joy of living in the country. Thank You Laura, Jeff and Tracey Clark

Very poor wait times on the phone. Very poor customer service. Very snide people “employed” here. Unfortunately we cant choose where we pay our bills at or i would definitely go somewhere else! Wouldnt take a payment over the phone with new card to help move the process faster. I really dont even know why there are people in the office if they cant do things over the phone. Must be over their pay grade! Do better cullman. Do better.

      Response from the owner

The strategy of the Sprout Internet rollout is perplexing. I have a family member that is getting Sprout in 2 weeks, who lives in area where the people are so poor that there might be 1 other home besides theirs to subscribe. Meanwhile, I live in a subdivision that’s off a road (County Road 728) with many houses (and another subdivision called Hidden Lake) in which almost everyone will subscribe. Our color in the rollout is beige, which stands for No ETA on when our area will get it. This means that the people who planned-out what areas get Sprout first, second, third, etc. are about as smart as a block of wood, that you wish someone would set on fire.

      Response from the owner

I am sorry you feel that way, Noah. The purpose of Sprout, especially with Phase 1, isn’t about gaining subscribers. It’s about building an infrastructure needed for our power grid. Please take a moment to read this article about the WHY we are turning up certain areas first, then if you have questions, we’ll be glad to answer them. https://cullmanec.com/understanding-sprout-2022-expansion-plan
