  Every step of the way this company failed to communicate. They sent the quote to the wrong email address. When I followed up and confirmed scheduling and inquired about weekend hours - which were not posted on the quotation they were very rude and responded “well you can pay overtime”. So I scheduled to take off work for this installation. They confirmed and told me 8am. On the day of installation- nobody showed. Not one one email text or phone call from anyone in this company. I called every phone number from Bob, Bryan, and the office and never received a single call back or response to any of my emails. This company has no communication skills they don’t know how to interact with customers and are extremely unprofessional. If I could give them 0 stars I would. My advice take your business somewhere else where they actually care about their customers and quality of service.

  All I need is a Breaker replaced outside on the Meter. Only 4 reviews is all I see. All 5 star? Indication that maybe all are fake. I call and leave message to get a call back. Nothing for two days. I call back and leave another message. Nothing for 2 more days. I call back and leave a message again and state I will come down there if no call back. I get called that day. Elderly lady says I will get called by Bob to set up an appt. Now it has been another 3 days no call. Not good at all. This place doesn't seem to care that people need power. Stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Since moving to Cedar Rapids and purchasing my house 2 years ago, I have asked around about various contractors - electricians in particular due to the aging wiring in my house. Almost everyone has recommended Gleason Electric as the best in town. Yesterday, a neighbor's tree suddenly fell, striking power lines and pulling out electrical masts and wiring for several houses nearby, including mine. I called Gleason first thing and spoke with Carol, who arranged to have someone come out within the hour to start repairs. One of the company's electricians, Calvin, and even the company's owner came to my house and repaired the damage (with a number of updates and upgrades to meet code), and by the time I returned later after work the job was completed and power was restored. I hadn't planned on this expense - the damage was considerable - but they were willing to work with me on payment. Their work was first rate, their prices more than reasonable, and the friendliness, helpfulness, and total professionalism everyone displayed is worth 10 stars! I would encourage everyone to call Gleason Electric first for any electrical issue or problem. You'll be happy you did!
