The technician was excellent, professional, and tidy. He threw in a dimmer. First rate. My rating reflects the eye watering cost. $531 to replace a small hanging drum light fixture. (No change in location, used existing box.) I should have requested an estimate. The work took 1 - 1 1/2 hours.

Chris is great! He was very professional and easy to understand. You pay a great price for a great product/service! Joe came out to assist Chris and both were awesome. I would hire them again for future items. Chris even helped out with updating some items I had and also helped some of the new items for future expansion if I decided to in the future. Again great team to work with. Jessica in the center was also awesome to work with! Thank you Chris, Joe, and Jessica!

I called Harrison Electric to come out and inspect the electric in my new home after moving in. The home inspection had shown up with some reverse polarity outlets and I wanted to make sure everything was safe and up to current standards. An electrician and apprentice came out to my home and did an assessment. The electrician came back and said that the house and garage needed to be completely re-wired and that I needed to add surge protection as well as grounding for every outlet. ESTIMATED COST: $6,500. I was appalled. Of course the electrician outlined various plans that would be less expensive for less work (as typical) however he made it seem as if not choosing the most expensive plan would leave my house and electric system in an unsafe state. Obviously I did not proceed with their suggestion. I then got two quotes from two other well respected electricians, both of which came in around $1,600. Both other quotes said that while the wiring was not new (it's a 50's house) that it was not unsafe and still in relatively good condition. In hearing these two other electrician's recommendations it became clear that the electrician from Harrison Electric was trying to add every possible charge to rack up the bill, even if it was not necessary. It felt like they were trying to manipulate me by explaining things in a serious and fear-inducing way. If you have them come out make sure to do a comparison with at least one other electrician. In my case it saved me $5,000.
