  My review got deleted somehow. So I am back to warn anyone who wants to purchase a house where their only option for electric is this company- KEEP LOOKING. You will be out of power for hours and hours at least 30 times in the warm months alone. The prices are OUTRAGEOUS. Read the reviews... these are their customers!

  We have been with HWEC since 2004, and I have nothing but good to say for them! We have needed new upgraded service and worked with them closely for business and residential service. Their prices are competitive and they work well with their customers. I have never had poor customer service or unfair prices.

  UPDATE TO REVIEW: what happened to my favorite electric co? How, when and why Did the cost go from low to SKY HIGH??? NEARLY 12¢ PER KILLLWATT??? THATS TOO HIGH! Now they're the most expensive and if I want to have power, I have no choice! Since it's a private co-op, were stuck. What happened???? I love having Holmes Wayne Electric! As a local Realtor and having lived in this area all my life, I have experiences with all of the Electric Companies. By far Holmes Wayne has best customer service, nice crews and the cheapest of all the providers. AND above all we've only lost power several times in the 17 years we've lived here (usually an accident somewhere that clipped a pole). During the ice storm, several years ago - we only lost power for 6 or 7 hours unlike many without for 5 or 6 days! Gets 5 Stars from me! .
