  On 4-3-2020 6:30am, my wife and I went inside to buy wood. We were the only customer in the store at that hour. We had contact with three different employees during our 15 minute visit, each one was rude and abusive to us as customers. Our experience was one as if we were in the way and was more like bullying. When we got to the car, my wife looked at me and confirmed my thoughts as well, quoted: “Those were the rudest employees I’ve ever encountered in a hardware store, I will never go back”. I apologize to her for having brought her with me, and I agreed with her. Must be nice to run a big successful corporation tied to the stock market, even when your employees are rude. There will come a day when rudeness and disrespect will catchup to you. You’ve got my last dollar.

  If you're on Home Depot's website reading a review. Don't trust it. They rejected a review I submitted on an Anderson 4000 Storm door as follows: "REVIEW NOT POSTED Thank you for your product review submission. Unfortunately, your review did not meet our guidelines for posting on our site for the following reason(s): Some type of content that did not conform to our guidelines." What was negative about the review? It wasn't because of the Anderson door. It is fantastic, well built and worth the price! It wasn't beacuse of the installation. Mark of RF Installers (Home Depot's contractor) did a superb, professional install of the storm door. It wasn't beacause of the price. It was reasonable and comparable to Lowe's (Lowe's Larson door didn't have the color we wanted). Why, most like it was because I gave a negative review of Home Depot. It took almost two hours to place a special order. Their people were poorly trained on their order system. The price of $97 was for the install but then tell us there was an extra trip charge to come measure our door and an extra charge for additional materials (they did mention the materials). They did eat the trip charge! Then on top of all that, they don't alllow you to pay for the entire bill. You're required to come back in and pay for the install. My criticism of Home Depot is their procedure is cumbersom and not customer friendly.

  I needed some screws for a project and I had an employee help make recommendations and it turned out great.
