  Having worked for a local utility and being a member of the I B E W for many years the members were a great team of guys to work with however it was a proven fact once the president had served his or her term they are promoted to supervisors which is a disgrace but promotion has its advantages pension ect ect after asking for clarification regarding issues with management the answer was always the same they can do that I had a grievance which went to arbitration I received a phone call from a union brother giving me my results my point is everyone knew of my loss before I did it’s very sad to say but many members DID NOT RECEIVE the representative our early members fought for this utility was bought out due to incompetence by upper management ironically those who nearly bankrupt this company was rewarded with millions in there golden handshake but as always KARMA prevails
