  David Brand is just wonderful! This New Yorker is always willing to help when we call with an electrical problem. He even helped us install a new thermostat when we were having trouble doing it ourselves. If you need a friendly local company for any electrical need call Lowcountry Electric!

  -We appreciate David B, but Donald came to our home and left before our appointment time, and without completing the work.- The day before, Don called to set an appointment. I asked for a confirmation email, and repeated & spelled out my email several times. Don wasn't getting it, so he said he would have the home warranty guy confirm with me. That wouldn't have been a problem if he didn't practically hang up without giving me a chance to speak again. From this encounter, I grew a bit concerned about how the appointment would go, so I immediately tried to reach out to him again to try and change the appointment to his latest available time so that my husband could be off work and present. I left a voice message for Don, and he texted me saying he basically only had morning appointments and the next week...This was less than 20 mins after I spoke with him. I texted asking about the time frame he gave me to pick an appointment from, and he then said that he was "all booked up." At this point I was thinking, 'What is this guy's problem?' I wasn't even being rude to him! It almost seemed like I offended him for asking about a time that my husband could be present, though I hadn't even told him the reason! We kept the 12 PM, and my husband left work at 1130 to be home. Don came to our home at 1150 and the warranty guy asked if he could go ahead and complete the work. I was on the phone with my husband, and he said that he was almost home. Don then stated that he didn't have a lot of time. Umm..I don't know that I've ever had someone show up early and demand they be permitted to do the work before our actual appointment time!:0/ My husband became a little upset and told me to have Don bring his backside back at 12. Don then leaned forward and says, "Bye,-bye! And good luck finding another electrician!" Though I do admit we didn't have to put the "backside" part in there, seeing Don's face upon arrival to our home (straight face, no greeting, nothing) proved to me that my being skeptical of having him in our home without my husband there was probably good judgement! I have had people come to our home on business and not even look at me because of my race, or come in talking down to me, and me not knowing WHAT the real problem is!...are they just that rude or immature?! But one thing I do know; if you come to my home and I am being polite to you, I will NOT put up with you being rude..ESPECIALLY in my own home! My husband got home just before 12 and we called David. David seemed to not understand our complaint at first, but from the second he realized that my husband arrived home at our appointment time and Don was already gone, he immediately apologized and began working with us to schedule another time to come out. No disrespect to David, but I would've had Don come back out that same day, due to the fact that my husband left work early, and we had not done anything to warrant Don's "childlike" behavior. I apologized to David because I didn't know if Don's shortness the day before was personal toward me or not, and yet, I couldn't bring myself to actually apologize to Don because, again, I don't quite know if the attitude was personal or not!...

  I purchased my home 5 yrs ago, and the previous contractor placed faulty switches in my home, lowcountry electric quickly assessed th e problem and replaced them. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He was also very honest and reasonable, I will always use this company for any electrical needs! thank you! s.j. scott
