  Powerhouse wired our house during the construction phase about 7 years ago. We have had (2) major issues with our wiring. One was in my daughter’s room. Every time she used the hair dryer it would trip the circuit breaker. The last time little smoke lines came out of the outlet! They came out & fixed it - apparently replacing ALL of the outlets in her room. The latest issue has been with our outlets in our garage. Our garage door opener was going in/out & then one day just stopped working. I called a garage door repairman to check it out, and he said all four outlets in the garage had the hot/ground wires switched, so over time the outlets were receiving too much electricity. Now, not only do none of them work, the motor to our garage door opener is blown. It took me THREE months to get a response to see if someone could come out & check on it to only hear them say they don’t have time (in an email, I might add). They recommended another company to come out to check on it...

  Very poor customer service. I asked for an estimate on a Monday. They told me they would call back within 24 hours. Two days later after no response, I called back - again told to wait for a call back. I called again Thursday - same deal. Friday, called again. Finally I received a call back Friday afternoon and scheduled a visit for the next Monday. (They refused to give any sort of estimate over the phone - despite how simple the job was). Monday rolls around, and the electrician comes by. He says after talking to his boss, they might need to upgrade my main panel and the meter coming in from the electrical company to add a 50 amp circuit. I ask him how he couldn't tell me that after looking at the system himself...he didn't seem to have a basic understanding of how electrical loading worked. Regardless, he couldn't give me an estimate in person, and told me he would get back to me later that day after discussing with his boss. It is now Thursday, and I haven't heard a thing. I already went with another electrician who did the work in less than an hour for less than $250. I recommend you seek out Koepsel Electric. Don't waste your time with Powerhouse.

  I would give these guys 0 stars if I could. There business practices are unbelievable. Their so called Expert Electrical installers installed a power outlet on the side of a cabinet where a drawer for the trash can. The trash can will not fit. Now they want to charge extra to fix this stupid mistake.
