  Requested a quote and was told it would be 2 weeks before it could be written up. No problem except two and a half weeks later still no quote and no follow up. I let them know up-front we were getting other quotes. I contacted them and asked why we hadn't heard from them and let them know if they didn't want my business I would continue to seek other quotes. They email back and said since I'm seeking other quotes they wouldn't be quoting my job. Guess my money isn't good enough for them.

  Schaum Electric was absolutely awesome. After purchasing a starter home for my grandson, we decided to move a wall to make the bedroom bigger. When doing so, we realized there was NO insulation in the home, only shiplap, vinyl siding and thin paneling. So we started to rip down the old, moldy paneling thinking "it will be easier for the electrician to work if we take the walls down to the studs". Well, little did we know that if a house is 25% remodeled, it can't be grandfathered in and has to be a total re-wire. Shaum Electric came in about $4000 below other quotes that we received. This was still quite a sticker shock as we were expecting a couple of outlets to be fixed! Frank, Steve and Cassidy were all awesome. Frank said he isn't the best electrician in the world but I tend to differ. Thanks guys!

  Was not informed that we would be charged for consultations. Received nothing for our money. Personally felt like that the company was trying to milk us for money. On the other hand the representative that came out was nice.
