  Any time it rains hard , we always loose power in Roddy community!!! Need to upgrade or something , it's redicoulous. Plus it takes Forever it restore the power. Been without power for 3 hours now and still no power in sight, seems like someone at vec needs to learn how to do thier job !!! Do something vec !!!!

  Well i have been with VEC now for over a year. Count on if it rains you will lose power. Fortunately its been a dry year this year but power goes out with every rain. The infrastructure is horrible. I have heard much of it is the original from the 50's but that is hearsay and i have no proof to it. However, i can assure you as i sit here in the dark, I havent ever had this many power outages in any other location i have lived in in the world. To include outside the continental US. I would strongly suggest if you need power on at your house for what ever reason, invest in a backup generator. You will need it. All those years of taking profits and bandaiding our powerlines has come to a point that they need to replace eevrything old or fire the board members and director and put in competent people who will get the job done even if it taps into their pocket books for a few years. Even in tropical locations where we had popup thunderstorms every single day, I never experienced such a hassle of loas of power. We had a better power feed in afghanistan than here and that says a lot.

  We are new customers this year, but the office staff, specifically Robin, have been courteous, efficient, and very effective in answering our questions as we have established our electric and propane services at our newly purchased house. Robin assisted us in contacting and working with Blossman's Gas Company so we could install propane services for the first time at this "new to us" residence. She also called me today to inform me of a communication error about our first bill with them regarding our new propane service for our gas stove. I highly recommend VEC and Blossman's Gas for your non water utility services.
